Douglas Fir Sprig Necklace
This is a beautiful bar necklace with a twist: a sterling silver sprig cast from a Douglas fir tree. It’s a versatile piece—lightweight, comfortable, and flattering. This necklace is a great one for layering.
Douglas Fir trees are everywhere in the Pacific Northwest. On the coast, they commonly live at least 500 years. They are often planted in reforestation efforts throughout the region—and for good reason, they’re hardy and lovely evergreens. The artist found these sprigs without needles and loved the knobby texture.
