Douglas Fir Sprig Earrings
These earrings are made from Douglas Fir sprigs cast in sterling silver. The intricate detail of the Douglas fir sprig makes them catch light in interesting, unusual ways, and the shape is flattering against the neck.
Douglas Fir trees are everywhere in the Pacific Northwest. On the coast, they commonly live at least 500 years. They are often planted in reforestation efforts throughout the region—and for good reason, they’re hardy and lovely evergreens. The artist found these sprigs without needles and loved the knobby texture.
