Sequoia Cone on Chunky Cable Chain Necklace by April Ottey
One of the most surreal experiences the artist ever had was walking through a grove of giant sequoia trees. In that grove, she ran her fingers across trunks of trees that are among the oldest and largest living things on the planet. Looking at the sequoia cone from which she cast this pendant, it’s hard to believe that such giant trees can have such humble beginnings. And yet, every single giant sequoia started from a tiny cone.
