Every year I make a postcard calendar. These 7x5" calendars are designed so that when the month is over, you can cut off the artwork and send it as a postcard. Just cut along the dotted line, buy a stamp, write a nice note and send it off. Once cut, postcards are about 4x5". A great challenge to send a handwritten note to a friend.
Feeling the pull to more and more textural mediums, the 2027 edition is born from playing with a lot of painted papers and assembling collages. The result is a calendar that plays with some of my usual themes—islands, water, rocks—but in a new way.
I like to think of these as "sea portals," pieces that feel like they transport you to another place or realm.
The calendars are loose, unbound, 7x5" sheets and printed on recycled paper in Seattle, Washington. Once cut, postcards are about 4x5".
Packaged in a compostable clear sleeve.
