This is a print of the original watercolor of the historic Carlisle II, a foot passenger ferry from Puget Sound's Mosquito Fleet. Built in 1917, she is still a working vessel today faithfully transporting passengers between Bremerton and Port Orchard.

The artwork was painted, scanned, and digital production was overseen by the artist. This is a fine art print (giclee) onto Canson Arches paper; a reproduction of such quality that it's hard to tell it's not the original artwork. Shipped flat with mat board backing. Image only, no frame. Frame shown is suggestion only. 

About the Artist:

Born and raised in the Seattle area, Mary Jo earned a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Washington. She worked for many years as a designer at Seattle firms before spending five years as an Art Director at Microsoft. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she continued her art studies at Otis College of Art & Design and co-founded Davis Studio Architecture + Design. Now back in the Pacific Northwest, Mary Jo focuses on art and illustration while drawing on her design expertise to transform her artwork into distinctive home products. Her illustrations appear regularly in the local publication Tideland Magazine.
