From the artist:
My name is Chloe Morris, born and raised in Seattle WA. I would say I draw a-lot of my inspiration from personal experiences and environments around me. A lot of my pieces focus on black people, what it looks and feels like to be a black in todays society, spirituality, and providing an image of black people that isn’t often seen. I feel like Black woman specifically are often looked to to be the saviors, and the backbone of society. I believe that we black woman and black people have a magic about us that cant be duplicated. In my pieces I try to invoke emotion and connectivity through the eyes, the intensely highlighted portions of the pieces represents energy, magic, and a light from within. And that is what I believe we have inside of us.
