This piece appears in the Spring 2021 edition of Orion Magazine, in which Nikki was the featured artist.
These special prints were made from photographs of Nikki’s work, capturing both the subtle shadows that form as the paper naturally curves as well as the texture of the paper she uses.
For this series, Nikki painted sheets of lovely handmade Japanese papers with sumi ink as well as washes of water color, from which she then cut her designs with an x-acto knife.
This is a high-quality, color resistant, archival digital print of a photograph of the original piece.
Printed with a white border using an 11-ink color process on enhanced matte paper creating extremely rich blacks with fade-proof inks. Ships flat with a hard backing.
Nestled in the heart of the museum, BIMA’s Museum Store features a carefully curated selection of merchandise, most of which are handmade by regional artists. There are pieces for every price range, age, and personal style.
