Jane Martin is a studio jeweler producing work, which is sold in galleries throughout the United States. Her jewelry making education started in 1970 at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua NY. In 1978, she received a BFA degree in jewelry/metalsmithing from The University of the Arts (Philadelphia College of Art). In 1988, Jane was a founding board member of the Seattle Metals Guild. She has participated in The Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show and The Smithsonian Craft Show. Jane has taught at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle and on Bainbridge Island through the parks department. She is a member of Cedars Unitarian Universalist Church, Zero Waste and volunteers at the Rotary Auction. Currently she is on the boards of Port Blakely Historical Cemetery, was a founding board member of BARN – Bainbridge Artisans Recourse Network and its jewelry and fine metals department.
