BIMA's spring 2022 exhibition Boundless is an expansive exhibition that transforms the museum into a sweeping showcase of contemporary artist's books. Co-curated by Cynthia Sears and Catherine Alice Michaelis, drawing on works from the Cynthia Sears Artist's Books Collection as well as loans from artists, makers, and collectors Boundless explores the fluidity and freedom of the enigmatic genre. The Boundless catalogue serves as a companion to the exhibition. With essays by Tia Blassingame and Ellen Sheffield, co-curators Cynthia Sears and Catherine Alice Michaelis, and Mark Dimunation of the Library of Congress, this book contains high-quality, color photos of more than 90 of the works in the exhibition.
