The Connections design draws inspiration from the Snoqualmie Tribe's own weaving tradition as well as designs from around the Puget Sound region. The Snoqualmie Tribe was once the largest tribe in the region, and their central location meant trade route travelers were often moving through the territory, bringing with them new art and ideas. This design honors the important and lasting relationships the Snoqualmie people made with travelers and neighbors, and the enduring importance of connection.
