After a trip to the Southwest and a painting series titled Persistence of Pink, showing macro views of pink flowers I decided to do a series of succulents. Painting this neutral colored echeveria was a big change, not only in color choices but a much larger size of paper than I'd tried before! I painted companion paintings, Sedona Agave #1 and Sedona Agave #2 with a similar palette and the same size so they could be displayed as a triptych with a commanding presence and a large display! This is part of my 2018 work toward a November show in Anacortes, WA. My watercolors reproduce beautifully as prints or on canvas. The art is professionally photographed which will make reproductions impossible to discern from the original painting other than the deckle edge of the painting which is part of the original art.
