Print: Giclee on Fine Art Paper
"What could be more frilly than white scalloped edges defining the individual leaves of this colorful plant, a coleus. It feels like a flower in its lushness, but with the complexity of a tapestry. This painting was juried into a members show of the NWWS, Northwest Watercolor Society, in fall of 2014 juried by Michael Reardon and is a favorite of many for its rich, sophisticated color."
About the Artist:
For the past few years I've been painting flowers up so close that they envelope the viewer in their sensuality and rich color. Enlarged, they become almost abstractions from nature without seeing the outer shape or the environment around them. This view into the flower or plant I call "Floralscapes".
My paintings are professionally photographed making prints almost identical to the original painting.
