"This image was selected to be the poster image for the 2015 Bainbridge in Bloom Festival, Bainbridge Island, WA. The dark background sets off the curling tentacle that is reaching out from a hungry bloom, as is the lower leaf that balances all the flowers in the upper corner. So, I titled this painting "Reaching". The design is striking as my duvet cover!"

About the Artist:

For the past few years I've been painting flowers up so close that they envelope the viewer in their sensuality and rich color. Enlarged, they become almost abstractions from nature without seeing the outer shape or the environment around them.

The art is professionally photographed which will make reproductions impossible to discern from the original painting other than the deckle edge of the painting which is part of the original art.
